1st Reading Exercises

This book is full of short yet melodic passages of music intended to enrich a student’s skills in site reading music. The passages are carefully ordered in a graduated manner allowing the student to slowly grow. For example, all the early passages fall with a five finger span and use only intervals of 2nds.

Mrs. Curwen’s Teacher’s Guide recommends the use of this book with students taking lessons in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Steps.
