1st Step (Swinstead)

It should be noted that 1st Step (Kinross) and 1st Step (Swinstead) are slightly different editions.  Read more about the differences here.

If you are using the online student lessons videos, please purchase 1st Step (Kinross) instead of this Swinstead edition.

This book has identical lessons to 1st Step (Kinross) in the front half (pages 1-12), but the duets in the back half of the book are completely different (composed by Felix Swinstead). Mrs. Curwen recommends this book for homes where there are more than one student studying 1st Step. This allows each student to be assigned different duets than their sibling. These duets could also be used as additional recreational music.
