What to know prior to watching the student video:
In this lesson, the concept of a clef is introduced. Where does the word come from? And how come we use clefs? We discuss the C, G, and F clefs in this lesson. We also learn how to draw the G clef and the F clef.
Lesson 4c Homework
- Practice drawing clefs neatly and readily
- Draw an 11 lined staff with: G clef, F clef, high F, G, Middle C, F, and Low G.
- Practice drawing one, two and three pulse notes.
- Write some combinations of four pulse measures.
- Continue playing through The Farmhouse.
